City of Galveston Lift Station Evaluation
Galveston, Texas
Description:
The City of Galveston (City) selected LAN to provide a comprehensive evaluation of 47 lift stations associated with the City's wastewater collection and treatment system. This project was aimed at developing recommendations and prioritizing and scheduling improvements and modifications or expansions as required for the City's lift stations.
The project involved a review of the existing wastewater master plan, as well as data collection pertaining to drawings, equipment, operational data, and field inspections. These tasks assisted in the condition and capacity evaluation prior to developing recommendations. LAN compiled a summary report which discussed each lift station and its required improvements in detail. The report also included the engineer's estimate of probable construction costs. Additionally, this report served as the basis for the preliminary engineering phase of the improvement and expansion projects.
