Pima County Sabino Canyon Pump Station

Description:
LAN was selected to provide Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) forcemain alignment analysis, engineering design including; preliminary design report, construction documents, hydraulic sewer system analysis, environmental, cultural and biological surveys, topographical survey, community information presentations, easement acquisition assistance, and construction administration services for Sabino Creek Pump Station. The project will be used to convey of the existing and future flows currently in the gravity sewer line crossing the Sabino Creek and discharge at an existing downstream manhole west of the Sabino Creek. The force main route evaluations range in length from 2,500 to 3,300 LF. The new Pump Station and force main will service approximately 260 existing residences and the Canyon Ranch Resort.
The work includes two phases: Phase 1 – Feasibility Study and Phase 2 – Design.
The work under the Phase 1 Feasibility Study consists of:
The development of three alternative force main route(s) along the west side of the Sabino Creek.
The development of the Feasibility Report to include the investigation of the potentially adverse conditions or significant obstacles to the design, construction, and/or operation of a PS at the Sabino Creek crossing and recommendation for a route.
The Phase 2 Design work will take the chosen alignment and develop an ADEQ permitted, RWRD approved, set of plans and specifications to be used as either a JOC or Design-Bid-Build project delivery. Construction phase activities will be in the Phase 2 scope.
