Description:

LAN's design-build project for the Naval Air Station / Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas, included the construction of a visitor's center, gatehouse with five-lane canopy, and reorganization of traffic lanes and parking areas. The client's goal was to provide a streamlined operation while focusing on improved security, customer service, and a professional image for the Joint Reserve Base.

The project provides five supervised lanes for entry and three exit lanes to allow segregation of Base-permit traffic from visitors and vendors, quick identification of potential threats or hazards, and a visual demonstration of control and security without undermining the impression of welcome intended by the new visitors' processing center.
