LAN Promotes Susan Fraser, P.E., to Team Leader

(AUSTIN – Nov. 05, 2014) Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) has promoted Susan Fraser, P.E., to team leader. Fraser, who will lead the firm’s transportation team in Austin, will be responsible for the management, operations and growth of LAN’s transportation practice in the region.
Fraser has more than 12 years of transportation engineering and management experience. Since joining LAN in 2013, she has managed a number of transportation projects including the SH 71 Express Toll Lanes and the City of Kyle Transportation Master Plan. Previously, she served as AECOM’s project director in San Antonio where she oversaw the $500 million Bexar County Flood Control Capital Improvement Program.
“In a short span of time, Susan has played a pivotal role in growing our company and has been a role model for our staff,” said Arnold Cohen, P.E., LAN’s vice president. “She lives by our firm’s vision and values and uses them on a daily basis to lead our company forward.”
Fraser also is involved in various organizations, including the Women in Transportation, Texas Floodplain Managers Association and the South Texas Institute of Transportation Engineers. She received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Texas at Austin. Fraser is a registered professional engineer and a certified flood plain manager in Texas.
