Joseph Scarborough, P.E., Joins LAN as Port/Marine Project Manager

(HOUSTON – July 11, 2016) Joseph Scarborough, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a project manager. In this role, he will be responsible for planning, design and construction management of marine and waterfront structures in the municipal and coastal port markets.
Scarborough is a versatile marine project engineer with more than 12 years of experience in key engineering roles, project and operations management in the United States and international markets. His experience includes design of waterfront structures such as container, liquid bulk, bulk material-handling and mixed-used terminals.
Previously, he served as a project manager/group lead for various high-profile multi-disciplinary engineering firms in Houston. Some of the projects he has worked on include Container Terminals at the Port of Houston Bayport Terminal and Liquid Bulk Terminals along the Texas Gulf Coast.

Scarborough received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Houston. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Alaska, and certified as a maritime port executive by the International Association of Maritime Port Executives.
